Does your dog exhibit big feelings when he sees another dog? Does he lunge, bark, growl, retreat, freeze or anything else that is causing him and you stress?
Does your dog have ‘stranger danger’? Is he afraid of bikes, kids or scooters?
I will teach you and your dog alternative behaviours that work by implementing management strategies to reduce your dog’s reactions to triggers.
We’ll also offer positive based reward training that does not add to your dog’s fear but will help reduce his big feelings and increase his confidence.
You will also receive extensive support through this program so you don’t feel alone.
During our journey together, we’ll explore management strategies that fit your home, family, and daily life, while teaching your dog alternative behaviours and coping skills through pattern games and positive reinforcement.
We will work together to give your dog the skills he or she needs to reduce their big feelings and navigate our human world successfully.
Because every dog is unique, the number of sessions needed will depend on your dog’s individual progress and the intensity of their “big feelings.” Learning isn’t linear, and there’s no set timeline for helping your dog feel safe and confident.
We always move at your dog’s pace — never pushing them beyond their comfort zone or threshold.
As we progress through your program (typically 6 or 8 weeks), we’ll plan controlled “field trips” to help your dog practice their new skills in real-life environments — always keeping enough distance so they can stay calm and successful.
All packages include customized training plans, weekly check-ins & text support.
